Loss Prevention/Insurance Risk Engineer

Ideal candidate will provide technical support to oil, gas, and petrochemical clients on loss prevention issues for insurance underwriting and will conduct facility risk assessments in order to develop underwriting market reports. Additional duties include providing loss control support for capital projects, corporate standards, fire protection, risk assessment and prioritization, and loss investigation. Candidate must be able to work effectively under direction of senior engineers and handle multiple work assignments and projects. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in interfacing with clients and other staff members. Assignments may include task in design and development, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process review and analysis, quantitative analysis, accident investigation and report preparation. Requirements:
BS or MS with 3 plus years of experience in Chemical, Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering. Experience in Process Engineering, Risk Management, Consequence Analysis, PHA/HAZOP Facilitation, Fire Protection, PSM/RMP in the refinery and/or petrochemical operations and/or loss prevention should apply. Familiarity with NFPA, API, and OSHA required. Strong grammar and technical writing/editing skills preferred.
