Seeking engineers to manage and execute loss prevention projects and activities. Responsibilities will focus on identifying explosion and fire risks and developing prevention & protection systems and solutions for client consideration. Industries include: specialty chemical, petrochemical, oil refining, gas processing, and oil & gas exploration and production.
Must be familiar with active and passive fire protection design aspects of petrochemical and/or petroleum refining facilities including firewater supplies, pumping systems, distribution systems, fixed water spray systems, fireproofing, fire and gas detection systems, etc. Additionally, experience in fire pump performance testing and firewater system hydraulic analysis is preferred. Experience in modeling the consequences of flash, jet, and pool fires is desired. Prior work experience in Insurance Risk Management, Loss Control Engineering, Loss Control Engineering and Process Safety is a plus.
As a remote staff member, candidate must be able to work effectively under discretion of senior engineers located in various BakerRisk offices and handle multiple work assignments and projects. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
Educational Requirements: BS or MS with 3 plus years experience in Fire Protection Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
