Flammability Test Apparatus Patent
BakerRisk is pleased to announce the January 31, 2006 award of patent no. 6,991,365 B1 for a flammability test apparatus design. Adrian Pierorazio of BakerRisk’s Canada office is the inventor of the flammability test apparatus design. This test apparatus allows testing the flammability of multi-component gas mixtures at elevated pressures and temperatures with a very quick turnaround on each test relative to other methods. Since the flammability envelope changes with pressure and temperature, it can be very important to quantify the limits under conditions that are similar to the processing environment, particularly where flammables are being processed with oxidizing materials.
