2007 High Pressure Testing JIP
BakerRisk will begin Phase 2 of the High Pressure Testing Joint Industry Program in 2007. BakerRisk organized a High Pressure Testing Joint Industry Program in 2006 to assess hazards common to oilfield equipment companies. The goal of the Safety Research Program is to help interested companies understand and predict hazards in their test facilities and learn how to mitigate fragment hazards with effective protective structures, with a focus on safety issues common to this industry. Having successfully completed the first round of high pressure hydrostatic tests , BakerRisk is conducting a second phase of the Joint Industry Program (JIP) in 2007 to address: The influence of trapped gas on projectile velocities and barrier response The fragment resistance of a wider range of barriers The influence of high temperature on projectile velocity, and The potential impact of water spray on barriers, including portable shields. For more information on this program, or to receive a prospectus, please contact Jeff Baker (jbaker@BakerRisk.com)
