New BakerRisk Test Facility

BakerRisk has recently closed on a 160-acre site southeast of San Antonio. The new test site is very well suited to our testing needs. It is a 40-minute drive from the San Antonio office and is situated along the Cibolo Creek, which borders Guadalupe and Wilson Counties. A site layout is shown in the figure below. BakerRisk is designing a state-of-the-art test building that will house the BakerRisk shock tube and a 10-ton trolley crane at this site. The new site will als o accommodate some of our Vapor Cloud Explosion test programs. Site improvement s are projected to be completed in the summer of 2007 and we hope to be relocate d to the new site by the fall of 2007. The test facility will be named the “Wilfred E. Baker Research Facility” in honor of one of the company founders.
