About BakerRisk’s Webinar, “What to know about Laboratory Analytical and Testing Methods”

This webinar will highlight how laboratory examination and analytical techniques can answer important questions during forensic investigations, failure analysis, and root cause analysis efforts.  Using the BakerRisk Materials Lab as an example, this webinar will provide an overview of protocols, equipment, and different investigative techniques.

To demonstrate the significance of laboratory examination in the investigation of incidents at industrial facilities, including rotating and fixed equipment, several cases studies will be presented.  This webinar will address incidents including fixed and rotating equipment, pressure vessels, piping, and tanks.

Key highlights covered in this webinar:

  • Orientation of laboratory equipment, procedures, and general protocols
  • Application of the scientific method to investigations, failure analysis and root cause analysis
  • Case studies highlighting how a lab can be utilized in forensic investigations and engineering applications
