Webinars
The EPA recently finalized the Risk Management Program (RMP) Rule amendments. These new rules affect more than 11,500 RMP regulated facilities across the United States and must have implemented these changes to be compliant. In this webinar, we outlined the required changes that are needed and providing insights based on our experience in risk management.
What was covered in this webinar:
• Compliance Audits
• Emergency Response
• Information Availability
• Safe Technology
• Incident Investigation
• Natural Hazards
• Power Loss

He has been a continuous member and leader of ISA at the student, local, and national levels since 2001 and the Hydrogen Technology Committee at CGA. He is the primary committee member for NFPA 715 Gas Detection Standard and is a contributing author on ISA TR84.00.07 Fire and Gas Detection and TR84.00.05 Burner Management System.
Mr. Dancey is a member of BakerRisk’s Process Safety Group. His work focuses on HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA, and What-If facilitation, with both small and large projects, and has conducted training courses in risk assessment and hazard review methodology and best practices. Mr. Dancey has assisted in the writing and development of corporate guidelines and procedures for Process Safety lifecycle management, including guidelines on Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) revalidation techniques and requirements, and recommendation management and documentation. He has also assisted in writing and maintaining engineering standards documentation, operations procedures, and loss prevention standards, and has conducted Process Safety Management (PSM)/Process Safety Information (PSI) audits and coordinated and managed insurance underwriter inspections for operational sites.
Mr. Shah is a member of BakerRisk’s Process Safety Group. His work focuses on Risk Management Services, including Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), Corporate Risk Management, and Risk-based Decision Support. Mr. Shah brings an extensive array of skills that includes Risk Management Process Improvement, Decision Analysis, Decision Criteria/Guideline Development, Risk Analysis and Quantification, and development of conceptual layout and equipment specification for toxic risk mitigation.
During his career, Mr. Shah has identified and evaluated cost-effective risk optimization alternatives that allow management to make informed risk management decisions and has helped clients optimize their risk management budgets.
Mr. Drennen is a member of BakerRisk’s Process Safety Group. His work focuses on Process Safety Management (PSM) Consulting Services, including Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) facilitation (for both existing processes and capital projects), Sizing calculations and hydraulic studies for pressure relief devices and relief headers, Detailed dispersion modeling of pressure relief system discharges to the atmosphere using Safesite3G©, Development of guidelines and work processes for relief system design and analysis, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) determination, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and PSM Compliance Audits, serving the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Agricultural, and Energy industries.
For his PHA and LOPA facilitation work, he has utilized various methodologies including Hazards and Operability (HAZOP), What-If, Structured What-If (SWIF), Hazard Identification (HAZID), and Checklist techniques to evaluate hazardous process operations, new equipment designs, and process modifications, using PHA Pro, PHAWorks, Leader, and PHA-Tool© documentation software.
Mr. Bruce-Black is a member of BakerRisk’s Process Safety Group. His work focuses on performing and managing Facility Siting Studies (FSS), Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), Business Interruption Studies, Audits, Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and Hazardous Area Classification Studies (HAC) for leading U.S. petrochemical and chemical companies. He has provided FSS/QRA and risk mitigation training to organizations, conferences, and for clients as part of the BakerRisk Learning Center. He also has extensive experience with the development of FSS/QRA Procedures/Guidelines and consequence/risk tolerance criteria and has identified and evaluated cost-effective risk mitigation measures to allow companies to make informed risk management decisions.
Mr. Rehmeyer is a member of BakerRisk’s Process Safety Group. His 44-year career experience includes all aspects of industrial fire protection and process safety management. Major accomplishments include developing innovative risk assessment techniques and cost-effective approaches to lowering process safety and fire risk in the petrochemical and refining industry.
Mr. Rehmeyer’s specific experience ranges from OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) program development and compliance audits, EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) reporting and auditing, insurance risk assessments, incident investigations, fire protection strategy development and assessment of fire protection system infrastructure.
Mr. Broadribb is a member of BakerRisk’s Process Safety Group. He began work at BakerRisk in December 2009 after 41 years of service with a major oil company. Throughout the course of his career, his work has primarily focused on onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration and production facilities, oil refineries, and marine terminals in Europe and North America in a variety of operations, technical, and process safety roles.
Major updates to our patented Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) software are arriving soon. BakerRisk's HACTool© will now incorporate new updates aligned with the latest revisions of NFPA 497, NFPA 499, IEC 60079-10-1, and IEC 60079-10-2 standards.
Join BakerRisk’s Theresa Lewis, Michael Metcalfe-Smith, and Alexandre Cardoso, P. Eng., during which our experts will discuss why process safety management (PSM) is a critical component of safe growth in renewable fuel industries—even when not required—and how to effectively implement key PSM elements to support resilient, sustainable operations.
The webinar will highlight the release of our new best practice, “F&G Detector Mapping,” during which our experts will discuss the importance of incorporating fire & gas detection systems capable of detecting gas leaks, fires, and related hazards to reduce and mitigate risks at operating facilities.
